There’s a lack of choice in meals with fixed offerings at lunch and dinner, leading to unexpectedly high bills for modest portions. The restaurant experience felt tight, with no flexibility or advance pricing to avoid surprises.

We stayed in a spacious Family Suite with stunning views. The dock on the Tempisque River is great for sightseeing. The meals were delicious, especially the generous portions offered at every meal. My husband and I also enjoyed birdwatching with the friendly staff.

My wife says that the winding roads leading to the ranch could be a hassle, especially with kids.

The road leading up to the lodge is quite rough, so be prepared for some bumpy driving. It took longer than expected to reach the lodge, so plan ahead to avoid frustration.
